JOVRQA
Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 May 2026 · Applies to jovrqa.com and all associated sub-domains
Jovrqa is a free-to-play social casino. Because all game data is processed exclusively inside your own browser, we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. This policy explains what little data is involved and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent legislation.
Data Controller
Jovrqa (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy.
For all privacy-related enquiries, rights requests, or complaints please contact us at the address listed in Section 11. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 calendar days as required by Article 12 GDPR.
Data We Process
Jovrqa processes the following data — all of it stored locally in your browser using the Web Storage API (localStorage). None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party.
- ›Balance — your current Jovrqa Credits balance (default 5,000)
- ›Bet preference — your last selected bet amount
- ›Client seed — a randomly generated string used in our provably fair algorithm; you may change this at any time
- ›Nonce — a counter that increments with every spin to ensure unique results
- ›Total spins & total won — aggregate session statistics
We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, device fingerprint, location data, or any other information that could identify you as a natural person. No user accounts exist.
Legal Basis (Article 6 GDPR)
Because all data remains on your own device and is never transmitted to us, the processing falls outside the typical controller–processor relationship. To the extent GDPR applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- ›Article 6(1)(b) — processing necessary to provide the service you requested (maintaining your game balance and preferences during and between sessions)
- ›Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests in operating a functional, fair game (ensuring reproducible provably fair results via the nonce and client seed)
No special-category data (Article 9) or criminal-conviction data (Article 10) is processed at any point.
Your Rights Under GDPR
Under Chapter III of the GDPR you have the following rights. Because your data never leaves your device, most rights can be exercised directly in your browser without contacting us.
You can inspect all data at any time by opening your browser's DevTools → Application → Local Storage → jovrqa.com.
You can change your client seed directly in the Provably Fair modal inside the game.
Clear your browser's localStorage or use the in-game Reset Balance button to erase all stored data instantly.
Restricting processing is equivalent to stopping use of the site. No remote processing occurs, so your data is untouched the moment you leave.
All stored data is plain JSON in your browser's localStorage and can be copied or exported at any time via DevTools.
You may object to processing at any time by ceasing to use the service and clearing your localStorage. No processing continues after that point.
To exercise any right that requires our assistance, contact us via the details in Section 11. We will not charge a fee for reasonable requests and will respond within one month (extendable by two further months for complex requests).
Cookies & Local Storage
Cookies: Jovrqa does not set any first-party or third-party cookies. No cookie consent banner is required.
localStorage: We use the browser Web Storage API to persist game state between visits. This is functionally similar to a cookie but is never transmitted with HTTP requests and is accessible only to scripts running on our own domain.
Fonts: Typefaces (Orbitron, Share Tech Mono) are self-hosted as part of the static build. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any external font CDN at runtime.
Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracking or analytics tool.
Third-Party Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with any third party. No data processors have access to information held in your browser's localStorage.
The site is served as a static bundle of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. No backend API, database, authentication service, or cloud function is involved in any page load or game interaction.
Data Retention
Data persists in your browser's localStorage until one of the following occurs:
- ›You click the "Reset Balance" button inside the game
- ›You manually clear your browser's site data or localStorage
- ›You use your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature
- ›You uninstall your browser or reset your device
We have no mechanism to delete your data remotely because it is never held on our servers. If you wish to erase it, clearing localStorage for jovrqa.com is instant and complete.
International Data Transfers
No personal data is transferred internationally because no personal data is transmitted outside your device at any point. Article 44–49 GDPR safeguards for cross-border transfers are therefore not applicable.
Children's Privacy
Jovrqa is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly process data relating to persons under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has used this service, please contact us and we will provide guidance on clearing any stored data from that device.
Because no data is held on our servers, there is no account to delete — clearing the browser's localStorage on the relevant device is sufficient.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Where a change is material, we will update the date prominently. Continued use of Jovrqa after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
